Welcome to VASTRA ("we", "our", or "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how our smart hostel laundry application collects, uses, and safeguards information provided by students and college staff of RVS University.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to schedule, process, track, and return hostel laundry bags:

Identity & Hostel Information: Full Name, Student Roll Number / ID, Academic Year (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Year), Hostel Block name, and Room Number.
Contact Details: Mobile Phone Number used strictly for sending real-time SMS / in-app ready-for-pickup notifications.
Clothes Intake Verification Photos: Images of clothing items captured or selected by students to verify piece counts during counter drop-off.

3. Device Permissions & Camera / Gallery Usage

The App requests access to your device's Camera and Photo Gallery exclusively when you choose to attach verification photos of your clothes.

            🛡️ Safety Guarantee: All photos are automatically compressed on your device into tiny
            thumbnails (< 30 KB) before transmission. We NEVER access your private photo albums, contacts, location,
            or microphone.
        

4. How We Use Your Information

To allocate guaranteed 48-hour laundry service slots based on Academic Year schedules.
To generate unique digital QR Pickup Tokens for authorized bag handovers.
To notify students when washing, drying, or folding is completed and ready for collection.
To prevent cloth loss or misplacement during counter handover.

5. Third-Party Sharing & Advertising

We do NOT sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data or photos with any third-party advertisers, analytics tracking networks, or commercial entities. All data is strictly confined to the RVS University laundry facility operations.

6. Data Retention & Security

Your information is stored securely in an enterprise-grade cloud database with industry-standard HTTPS / TLS 1.3 encryption in transit and restricted access controls.

7. Google Play Policy: Account & Data Deletion

In strict adherence to Google Play Developer policies, any student or staff member may request the complete, permanent deletion of their account and all associated booking history and photos:

In-App Deletion: Open the App → Navigate to Profile → Tap "Request Account & Data Deletion".
Administrative / Web Request: Contact the campus hostel administration or email laundry@rvsu.ac.in with your registered phone number.
